RayLyn Co family portrait

Hi! I'm Amanda

I'm a stay-at-home mom to Nora and Jack, wife to Karl, and the person behind RayLyn Co. We live in Las Vegas, where I've spent most of my life. I'm a chronic overthinker, overly honest, and a total rule follower. So naturally, I've probably spent way too much time overthinking this About Me page. 😂

I've been crafty for as long as I can remember, and I've always loved anything that involves making something. When I'm not crafting, I love getting lost in a good book, preferably with a Pepsi Zero nearby.

As a family, we love spending time at the park, library, museums, and indoor playgrounds. We also play board games together every night at dinner, and Karl and I are pretty proud of our escape room champion status. Between the kids, our little adventures, and all my craft projects, there's rarely a dull moment around here.

Nora and Jack are 5 and 3, and being their mom will always come first. I absolutely love what I'm building with RayLyn Co, but I also know how quickly these little years go by, and I don't want to miss them. The kids are in pre-K two days a week, so that's when most of my designing happens. The rest of the week, I'm usually just Mom, and that's exactly where I want to be.

It was supposed to be my husband's printer...

Karl had wanted a 3D printer for a long time. I finally said yes, and then I pretty much took it over. Lol. Before that, I was designing SVG and laser-cut files, which I still do! 3D printing gave me another way to make things, and I started creating activities for the kids.

Nora is crafty like me. She loves drawing, coloring, and doing craft sets, so sitting down to make something is right up her alley. Jack is more interested in playing than sitting down for an activity. Making things for both of them is a big part of why my sets are a mix of activity + play.

I especially love combining the pieces with sensory play or a sensory table setup. Nora can enjoy the activity side, and Jack can play with the pieces in his own way. They don't always want to do the same thing, and that's okay!

I spent about a year making designs for my own kids before I started sharing them with others. I still make every design myself, and most ideas start with something I think Nora or Jack would have fun with. It's really cool that something that started at home with us now gets to be part of other families' playtime too.

Why RayLyn?

The name comes from my kids! Jack Raymond and Nora Lynn are the reason I started making these activities, so using a little of each of their names just made sense.

Raymond + Lynn = RayLyn

Thanks so much for being here and supporting my little business. It really means a lot to me. ♡

With love, Amanda ♡
