For small business sellers

Commercial Use

+$20 per design, in addition to the digital file

Choose Commercial License (+$20) on an activity listing to purchase the files and commercial rights together.

  • Produce and sell finished physical 3D prints made from the licensed design.
  • Sell locally, through your online shop, or at markets and events.
  • Use the license for one small business, for that design only.
  • Non-exclusive rights for small-scale production; other licensed businesses may sell the same design.

What's not permitted

These restrictions apply whether you're printing for your family, your classroom, or your business.

Sharing digital files

Do not give away, upload, resell, or redistribute STL, 3MF, or other digital files, whether original or altered.

Claiming the design

Do not represent RayLyn Co designs as your own original work or distribute modified versions as new digital designs.

Reusing listing photos

Use your own photographs of your finished prints. RayLyn Co's product imagery isn't licensed for your listings.

Factory-scale production

Large-scale manufacturing and wholesale manufacturing are not included in either license.

Print-on-demand platforms

Do not upload or distribute the files through print-on-demand websites or public third-party fulfillment marketplaces.

Transferring licenses

Do not transfer, resell, or sublicense a license to another person or business. Each commercial license is for one business and one design.

Commercial sellers & product safety

Your prints, your responsibility

When you sell finished prints, you are responsible for the products you manufacture and deliver, including print quality, material choices, assembly, quality checks, marketing claims, instructions, labeling, safety warnings, and compliance with applicable laws and product safety requirements. Appropriate business and product liability insurance is recommended.

These designs are intended for supervised activities. Some printed components can be small enough to pose a choking hazard or may introduce other hazards depending on print settings, filament, assembly, and use. They are not intended for children under age 3, and adult supervision is recommended.

RayLyn Co supplies digital design files and does not manufacture, inspect, certify, or guarantee the safety of finished products printed by customers or commercial sellers.

Licensing FAQs

Can I use my prints in a classroom, therapy practice, or paid activity?

Yes. Personal use permits you to use your printed pieces as part of learning sessions, workshops, therapy, events, and services you provide. If you sell the printed pieces themselves as physical products, you need the commercial license.

Can I sell printed sets on Etsy or at a craft market?

Yes, if you've obtained the commercial license for each RayLyn Co design you sell. The license covers finished physical prints, not the digital files.

Do I need a license for every design?

Yes. Choose Commercial License (+$20) for each activity you plan to sell as physical prints. For a file you already own, use the separate $20 license add-on. For freebie files, check the email your freebie arrived in for a link to purchase its commercial license, often at a discounted price. Each license covers one design for one business.

Can I use a 3D printing service?

For licensed commercial orders only, a private print provider may manufacture your physical items solely to fulfill your business's orders. The provider cannot retain, share, sell, or reuse the file. Print-on-demand marketplaces and redistribution are not permitted.

Can I edit the files or change the colors?

You can adjust how you print your own pieces, including filament colors and print settings. You cannot share, sell, or distribute altered digital versions, or claim the design as your own.

Am I buying a physical kit?

No. RayLyn Co sells digital files for 3D printing. You will need access to a compatible printer and materials. Nothing physical is shipped.
